Through the Prophet's Eye

This is a short film I produced for the final project of my Masters Degree program.

THROUGH THE PROPHET'S EYE is a 3D animated film on the account of Prophet Daniel and his 3 friends Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

Daniel was a prophet who existed in the 6th century. He existed during the era when the Israelites went into a 70-year captivity in the land of Babylon which is what we call Iraq today. This was a captivity that was prophesied beforehand by Prophet Jeremiah and Daniel was a prophet who lived throughout the 70-year captivity period.

In this animated film, Daniel narrates the story of how they were taken as captives from their home country, Israel, to the city of Babylon which was a city of pleasure. The animation includes a brief history on the Babylonian kings and the accounts of how Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den and how his friends were thrown into a fiery furnace. He narrates how God delivered him from being eaten by the lions and preventing his 3 friends from dying in the furnace.
The animation is a kind of film that is divided into chapters like a book to divide the different accounts. Apart from the introduction, there is a maximum of 4 chapters narrating the main events of their experiences and each chapter should last around 2-3 minutes. The narration at the beginning of the film would last for about 1 minute. In Daniel’s account, there is a chapter on their captivity and their experiences in a new city as the first chapter. The second chapter based on the history of the Babylonian kings. The third chapter is based on the account of Daniel and his three friends' early experience in Babylon. The fourth chapter is based on the account of Daniel's experience in the lion's den and his friends' experience in the fiery furnace.
